PCWHD MRF49XA or Si4421 to PIC24FJ32GA002 SPI Communications
PostPosted: Mon Sep 14, 2009 12:05 pm     Reply with quote

I have a PIC24FJ32GA002 connected to a MRF49XA and have been unsuccessful in establishing SPI communications. I am using a PCWHD CCS compiler. I am willing to use a bit-banged approach if I have to. So far nothing is giving me results expected.

I have attempted to use the MRF49XA Demo Source code but only read back 0x00 and do not understand from their examples how to read the values of a particular register.

I have attempted to used the CCS SPI functions and do not get the correct POR values or correct values after writing to a register. Any advice appreciated.

The MRF49XA and Si4421 are the same part. If anyone has been able to use these please reply.

Look at FvM's post on using hardware SPI with the 24F-series:
