Help with pic16f690 and SPI
PostPosted: Mon May 04, 2009 5:26 pm     Reply with quote

On second thought, please delete this thread. I didn't notice that this forum is only for CCS customers until I saw the upper right corner. I'm currently using HI-TECH's C Compiler. I registered here because I had found some useful threads. Sorry for the trouble.

a couple notes:

1- WHICH version of the CCS compiler are you using ?

2- you really need to know if it is RS-232 OR SPI - they are NOT the same

SO
where is the serial control data coming from and what sort of command format do you have to work with ?

What kind of pager motor uses SPI to communicate ?
The notion that a pager motor uses SPI somehow is ALL new to me too.

i thought that the motor had TWO leads and you smack the leads with some DC - and then poor unabalanced motor vibrates down in your pants or wherever.

You seem rather confused about what you want o do i'm afraid-
anyway - that is a start on your process

I'm not confused, I guess I didn't communicate properly.
The pager motors will be sent output from the general I/O ports of the PIC. It doesn't matter because I am not a CCS customer so I will not post again.
