Polynomial Regression with a dsPIC30F
PostPosted: Wed Apr 08, 2009 9:20 am     Reply with quote

Im using a dsPIC30F4011 now, but if necessary, I can switch.

Im working on a 3D scanner, and Im trying various algorithms to clean up the raw data. A fifth order polynomial fit to my data seems to work well in MS excel, but just looking at the amount of calculations needed, and the size of the intermediate values, Im wondering if a dsPIC can do this efficiently. Im looking to use between 32 and 64 points per regression. Anyone have any advice?
