Hi all,
I have a valid copy of 4.073 on my old laptop PC and would like to move it to my new PC, however my compiler maintenance has expired. Without purchasing a new maintenance agreement is there any way to move my current copy to the new PC?

Once you have purchased the compiler, I don't see why you can't install it on a new machine - as long as you remove the copy on the other machine. You should be able to install from your original media and copy the crg file you received when you purchased the compiler.
However, I do not work for CCS so you might be better clarifying the situation with an email to CCS directly as it seems they rarely pay any attention to this forum !

Most of this discussion is about the legal issues, which the FAQ answers.
To answer the technical aspect:
Yes, you can install the compiler on another computer. Install it, then
copy the license file(s) (with extension .CRG) from your old computer's
CCS directory (typically c:\Program Files\Picc) to your new computer.
Put them in the same directory location. |
