I suggest they work out the problems in the PCD compiler before moving on to 32 bits. _________________ Every solution has a problem.

Be careful what you wish for. CCS marketing has little knowledge of the degree of difficulty it takes CCS programmers to produce a useful compiler. CCS marketing will sell a year or two ahead of any useful delivery. PCD is the classic case. Most early adopters of PCD have exhausted their first year of maintenance before even a hello world example program will compile and run. I am sure there may be a hundred good reasons for this poor result but frankly most customers don't care to hear them.

Being a programmer with more than 30 year of experience, I have delivered many a program with bugs. When I fixed them, I tried not to introduce new ones. I don't understand how CCS keeps adding new bugs while trying to fix older ones.
I have been using CCS compilers for more than ten years, and for the most part am happy with the results, but I keep looking at the assembly listing to make sure the code is correct.
I keep downloading new versions of the compiler but I still use V4.079 since I don't have time to find why V4.080 started behaving differently, and the code stopped working. _________________ Every solution has a problem.
