VNC1L... it *is* possible! :)
PostPosted: Sat Mar 14, 2009 12:32 am     Reply with quote

So far I have been able to get the VNC1L to read & write to a USB FLASH drive, and I have a bootloader that takes just a hair less than 2K. It looks for a specific file on the FLASH drive, and if present loads it into program memory.

Next up will be getting input from a USB keyboard. After that will be talking to a PC host using slave mode. It's been a long time coming, but I'm finally making some real progress on this sucker.

So far I've been working with my board wired to a V-EVAL board, so I can use their application to "spy" on the comms between the PIC and the VNC1L. That has been absolutely the tool that has made this possible. Without it you have no idea what's going on between the two.

It's about 0120 local time, and I just got the bootoader and application working together for the first time... Just thought I'd share.

:)
