Hi! I had a board in dental machine that use PIC16C71, but that PIC is died so maybe I have to reprogram it, I want to ask is these kinds of PIC (has letter "C" in its name) means only program it only one time (also, "F" in PIC16F877,for e.g, means erasing then reprogramming is still well) ?
If that so, could you recommend me which PIC should I use to replace PIC16C71, I want to use again the board.
Thanks so much |

Yeah its probably one time programmable, unless its a windowed JW(I think) device.
You can still get the 16c71 I believe, I chose a 16f88 to replace it in one of my projects, worked well, they're better, cheaper and reprogrammable. |
