PostPosted: Tue Feb 17, 2009 1:44 pm     Reply with quote

CCSLOAD is now in Beta testing. More information and downloads
available at http://www.ccsinfo.com/ccsloaddmbeta
Works with all CCS programmers and debuggers (ICD-Sxx, ICD-Uxx,
Mach X, Load-n-Go, and PRIME8).
Very Happy

It's not bad. I use an ICD-U40 for programming a lot of chips - it's not a "real" production programmer, but don't tell mine that. One thing I don't like about ICD is I have to select the file every time. CCSLOAD is quicker, I just swap chips and hit the button, no extra mouse clicks or moves. Better.

Hmmmm - not improved by my measure - It should be noted that this program installs new DLL's that will render an older compiler inoperable. I run 4.032 - it took about an hour to get the ICD running again with that version IDE compiler.

First I tried to re-install the USB drivers, but that wasn't the problem. Then I was looking around for what changed and found two DLL's in the DLL directory that I reverted to from a backup.

Thanks CCS - You might warn people that this "Improvement" will kill your previous installations on older versions.... At least say something like: "Version x.xxx and above ONLY".

:-(

Hope this helps others - Steve H.
