uninstall multiple versions of IDE and compiler(s)
PostPosted: Thu Dec 18, 2008 6:22 am     Reply with quote

I have three different versions of PCWH installed -- the complete package with IDE and compilers. They are in C:\Program Files\PICC_4-0xx (3 different folders, one for each different version).

How do I uninstall a specific installation, without affecting the others?

When I look in Control Panel -> Add or Remove Programs there is one entry for PCW, and one entry for PCWH. If I click Change/Remove for either one, they invoke uninstall of the MPLAB plug-in (which, BTW, has it's own entry elsewhere in Add or Remove).

If I click on UNWISE in the folder for the version I want to remove, it also invokes uninstall for the MPLAB plug-in.

Thanks for your help,
Jim

Just delete the folders.
