PCWH Multiple project viewing
PostPosted: Thu Dec 11, 2008 7:41 pm     Reply with quote

Hi all,
Haven't used the new interface much. Not allot of PIC activity in the last year here. However went to use it today and I wanted two copies of PCWH IDE (4.082)running at the same time to compare code. ( In an effort to remember how to solve a particular problem.) It seems I cant open a second IDE window ie a simultaneous running of PCWH. Always could and I used this function allot pre the glossy but hard to use new looking IDE.

Has this ability been lost?

The 'simplest' way I know of, is just to make a second copy of the installation directory. If you have the current one as PICC in program files, then copy the folder, and rename the copy to 'PICC2', then you can launch both versions.
I always keep my actual 'work' in a separate directory, so this works fine.

Best Wishes
