Frequency to Voltage Converter using PIC Micro...??
PostPosted: Mon Dec 01, 2008 1:27 am     Reply with quote

Hello all,

I have an input of 0-10Khz and I simply want to convert it to 0-10 Volts using PIC microcontroller. Can anybody help me with ideas ? What components will be involved ?

Regards

Forget it.
Just use a frequency to voltage converter IC.
The PIC, has no 'voltage' outputs, so you would have to use a PWM, then integrate this, to do exactly the same job, as directly converting the frequency, with the PIC 'added', and basically not helping at all.
It is the wrong tool for the job.
Look at the LM2917, or the AD650.
The former, is common, cheap, and remarkably good. The latter is more complex, supporting both V/F, and F/V conversions.

Best Wishes
