Urgent, Help with Usart

I've made an application where I need to receive a data from the usart.
I used to compile with MPLAB, but now I need to compile with CCS. The
problem that I have is that when I receive data I need to clear the buffer
of the Usart, because next I need to receive some other data. But in
some cases I have one or two of the data that have been sent before.

The real question here is, is there any instruction or way to clear the
receive usart buffer?
