Basic C question
PostPosted: Fri Aug 08, 2008 12:03 pm     Reply with quote

I ran across this line of code.
Code:
if(in->holdTime <0>value != newValue){

What is this “<0>”?

What is "value" is this a variable.

The code is in this post at the end.

That code is messed up. It's not real code. For a period of time, the
forum software had "HTML enabled" for all posts. This meant that
any code surrounded by angle brackets was interpreted as HTML and
was displayed as garbled code. The forum "regulars" usually warned
people about this, but some bad posts were still made. There used to be
a tickbox below the posting window, where you could enable/disable HTML.

Eventually, several months ago, the forum admin globally disabled
HTML and the problem went away. However, the old posts with the
garbled code still remain in the archives.

Go to that thread. The person who posted that code has an email
address listed in the side buttons. Ask him about it.

I advise, don't email him a link to the code because links add spam
points. Just email him the code. Then it might get through his
spam filter.
