Is a pointer necessary for the function to work ?? or can I just use a variable such as

Code:

int16 i,value;
for(i=0x1000;i<=0x1fff;i++) {
write_program_memory(i, value, 2);
}

Please help..

thanks

nope, you need the pointer to this value.

it is not that hard.

just add a &.

Code:
int16 value;
value = 100;
write_program_memory(i, &value, 2)

best regards,
