Buying a Kit
PostPosted: Wed Apr 30, 2008 9:24 pm     Reply with quote

I'm looking at just buying a kit probably the 3.3V Ethernet Controller Kit but I was wondering If I just ordered the "Development Kit for Compiler Owners" does it come with the example programs?

I like what the kit has, but I'm using a different programming langauge so I would like reference when translating code.

It does come with sample code using the CCS TCP/IP stack and it is a good solution for users of the CCS compiler but, if you are not planning to use the CCS compiler, then it is probably not the right platform.

If you are using the Microchip compiler then check out the products from Celeritous www.celeritous.com and LJCV Electronics www.ljcv.net these vendors offer platforms with supporting implementations of Microchips TCP/IP stack and the technical support capabilities to match. There are multiple vendors offering products in this space. I have used products from these vendors and have been very impressed by their attention to detail and bang for the buck.
