Version 4 - worth upgrading to yet?
PostPosted: Mon Feb 04, 2008 5:31 am     Reply with quote

Just wondered what the consensus is on version 4? I need to renew by maintenance contract soon and wondered if it is worth going over to version 4?

I'm currently using v3.242

As of about 20 versions ago (4.04x), it started working pretty well. It gives the big 'plus' of support for the latter chips, but the 'minus', that the IDE, can still have some annoyances at times. Individual versions (as is normal with CCS), will break things again at times, but in general, it is now 'useable'.

Hi Ttelmah,

Thanks - it's good to know that it's now in a usable state. I'll proceed with my order.

Is there a current known bug list with the compiler/on this forum?
