TMP275 temperature sensor
PostPosted: Tue Dec 18, 2007 12:28 am     Reply with quote

I am using the TI TMP275 temperature sensor with a 16F876.
Has anyone use the '275? I can't seem to get the I2c interface to work.

It's somewhat similar to the TCN75. The TMP275's configuration register
is formatted differently than the TCN75, and there are some other
differences, but at least in the basic power-on reset mode, it's mostly
compatible. Therefore, you can use this TCN75 driver to get you started:

Comment out the line in main() that calls the TCN75_init() routine.
You don't need it for the initial testing. Remember to put pull-up
resistors on the SDA and SCL lines, and to connect the address
pins A0, A1, and A2 to ground on the TMP275.

Thanks. That did it, after I corrected an open solder joint.
