voice recognition with 16F series

Is it feasible to develop a voice recognition circuit with PIC16F?

I'm wondering if the speed of the 16Fxxx (20mhz max?) is fast enough to process, analyze and sample the analog voice signal.

I probably will need an external memory chip to store speech pattern data.
