Access violation at address 007971c8 in PCW.exe
PostPosted: Thu Aug 09, 2007 9:38 am     Reply with quote

this just started with the latest version 4.049. when the debugger is disabled all is fine. when i enable the debugger i cant access any of the menu pulldowns, or right click on the source to set breaks, etc. although the buttons in the debugger (step/reset,etc) all work. disable the debugger and all is ok.

i did a complete un-install (including the registry keys) and re-install, but it didnt help. the last version was fine...

i also noticed a firefox browser auto-update around the time this started, any thoughts?

anybody else getting this message?

i filed a bug with CCS and they are looking at it.

Yes, I have the same problem, and have contacted CCS.

This also happens if you try to open a new project with the debugger window open.

Sure hope they fix it soon !

Try set the font to bold in editor properties and restart pcw. That's a challenge...

setting bold in editor

setting bold in the editor preferences and restarting ends very badly! i wonder if its all releated.... (i just removed the bold=1 from the .ini file to fix it)

i also had a similar problem when i changed the editor font from the default. i could set break points, but could not clear them!

I had the same problem. Changed to classic view and all is working well....so far. I'm not sure, but I think it is a bug related to Vista and XP compatability. (I'm usuing XP).
