Power Consumption Minimization?
PostPosted: Wed Jun 27, 2007 2:53 am     Reply with quote

Hi

I am using the PIC18LF2550 with a Xstal of 12MHz.

When I have a V=3.0V supplying the PIC its using approximately 4.6mA.
When I have a V=5.0V supply its using 9.3mA.

Is there any way to set the crrent consumption to a minimum, programatically?

Thank you in advance.
Regards
a.

Without knowing more about your total system it's hard to guess what besides the PIC might be drawing power too....

A good place to start is the Microchip app note AN606 titled,

Low-Power Design Using PICmicro Microcontrollers
