how to program the RF communication protocol |

hello..
i'm newbies in ccs also in RF. Actually in my project that i involved i need to write coding for RF315Mhz communication protocol. but the problem is i don't know how to start to program. i need to send 3 bit data in serial and the Rx received the data and decode it back. the problem is i don't know how the receiver should recognized the data that they should read(the current tx data) at that time.. i had review some coding that involved the preamble, starting and ending bit..how can i choose how long the preamble that suitable that i'm gonna use, the delay, the checksum....what is the communication protocol should i write...should i use..i really don't know..pliz somebody help me...

Hi,
Which PIC do you intend using, is it an RF chip or are you using an RF module?

thanks for your attention....
i'm using PIC16F84A..and using RF 315Mhz module RX208 and TX9912..
and need to transmit the data in wireless....i wish and really hope that u can help me to solve my final year project...
