Problems after ICD software upgrade..... |

Hi All,
I got no reply in the ICD forum, so I'm posting this here!
I just "upgraded" to version 2.77 of the ICD software, and version 1.37 of the ICD-U40 firmware. After the upgrade, everything seems to work fine (Test ICD, Test Target, etc.), but my known-good target board no longer runs known-good software....... When I click Run Program or disconnect the ICD, my target system does not run (diagnostic LEDs do no flash).
Is there some setting I need to change? I tried both 'normal' and 'fast' programming modes......
PIC is the 16F628.
I'm in the weeds big time here guys, and all my production has ground to a screeching halt........

This is a CCS support issue. CCS has done some upgrades to their
ICD hardware from time to time. It may be that the new firmware
doesn't work with the old hardware. You need to contact CCS tech
support either by telephone or email. This forum isn't CCS. It's users. |

Hi All,
OK, problem solved! I contacted CCS support, and they never heard of this problem before! They were going to send me some test code, but they never did. I finally called back today, and they told me that the newest version of the ICD software "might" solve my problem?? I asked when that was posted, and they said "today"..... Lo and behold the new ICD software solved my previously unknown issue......
Hmmmmm..........
