compile problem
PostPosted: Thu May 10, 2007 2:14 pm     Reply with quote

I'm new to using the CCS compiler but in version 3.242 the following code works. But in version 4.033 I get the following errors:

Can not change device type this far into the code
Selected part does not have ICD debug capability

Anyone have any ideas? I want to run the code on an ICE 2000.

Code:

#include <16C926.h>
//////// Standard Header file for the PIC16C926 device ////////////////
#device PIC16C926
#list

#device  *=16 ADC=10 ICD=TRUE
#use     delay( clock=4000000, RESTART_WDT )

I don't know about the ICD problem, but the #device error is because you have a #device declaration in your code when one is already included in the header file.

u could remove the line (#device PIC16C926 )
because it already exist in header file

and you type ICD=TRUE (#device *=16 ADC=10 ICD=TRUE ) and this pic PIC16C926 cannot run in in-circuit debugging mode (ICD)
i think u must remove ICD=TRUE
