Everbouquet MG12064B-SERIES (Graphic Lcd) Help!!!
PostPosted: Tue Apr 10, 2007 3:14 am     Reply with quote

Hi

I have been trying to get running a 128*64 everbouquet display. The datasheet is at http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/76754.pdf. I am having trouble dealing with the CS lines. The lines in the data sheet are stated as being active high, yet the timing diagrams show the CS lines dropping while the instruction is executed. The critical timing aspect of the set up times etc are not a problem though, as I am using an 18F2525 pic running at 20Mhz. This equates down to approx 1/ (20x10pwr6/4). Which equals approx 200ns per instruction (single instruction). All I have to do is make sure that PWEH and PWEL times have at least 3 cycles (as they are 450ns min). Everything else can be left at a whole cycle. Anyway, my original point, if anyone knows how to handle the CS lines and can elaborate a little for me, it would be greatly appreciated. The sheer amount of help I have already sucked from this forum has been astounding, however I have hit the wall head on so to speak with this, and call on you experienced gurus to lend some of your knowledge and experience to a somewhat bewildered junior engineer. Keep up the good work!! Thanks

I'm unable read that data sheet with Adobe 7.0. I was able to read it
with the Foxit reader. But, I don't see any timing diagrams in it.
Are there timing diagrams in that data sheet ? If so, on what page ?

Take a look a this display PDF, it's similar to the one you have and has some sample code in it.

Look at this datasheet for Everbouquet MG12064B series at http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/47124.pdf. On page 9 it says CS lines are active high.
