How to read status of port or pin?

ex. now i output_high(PIN_D0)

then ten minute ago i send command to pic and pic send status comeback "Now PIN_DO is high"

Your question is really about how to create a simple way to have an
external device communicate with your PIC. (Send commands to the
PIC and receive data back).
