PostPosted: Tue Mar 06, 2007 4:19 pm     Reply with quote

Hi guys!

I would like to know, is it possible to measure a capacity of C with a PIC? How should it work. It have to be as precisely, as possible. Any ideas?

Do you mean the Capacitance of a Capacitor? If so I would start with Microchip Application note AN512 which is about measuring resistance with an RC circuit, but it can measure the capacitor just as well as the resistor. The code in the App note is in assembly, but the flow chart will work fine for C.

You will find a good info to start with, in an old AN from Microchip:
