could not release MCLR

Hi, I didnt find any solutions on the forum to help me on the above mentioned error code. I did however just find my problem - I am using a pic16f886 and got the above error when using the debugger, but it would program with the ICD just fine. After messing around with all of the PUT fuses and the other suggestions, I finally turned ON the MCLR fuse.

I am not using MCLR for IO, but pretending that I am causes the debugger to work just fine. Hope this helps someone.
