int_rda and timeouts
PostPosted: Thu Jul 12, 2007 4:50 pm     Reply with quote

hi all,
i was wondering what would be the best way of implementing the ex_tgetc example with interrupts. I know you should never execute and interrupt from another interrupt as i was thinking of using:

#INT_RTCC // to control timeout
#INT_RDA // receive data on serial 1
#INT_RDA2 // receive data on serial 2

This is to be implemeted on a PIC18F8722. I need to rx/tx on both serial 1 and 2. So messages from 1 go to 2 and 2 to 1. Anybody please got any suggestions?

Hello,

If the datas need to be replicated from one port to the other without altering, why not to simply plug the rx from the first port to the tx of the second and vice versa ?

If you need to altering these datas before replicating, then the difficulties is depending on the baud and the speed of the PIC.

dro.
