PCH compilar and 18F97J60

I'm looking at using the 18F97J60 for a microcontroller/ethernet project. On the ccs home page, it has a little star next to all the ethernet pics, which represents that they haven't been tested. Does anyone have any comments regarding these pics before I take the plunge and start developing with them? I've just purchased the newest CCS compiler from their site also.

I am fairly new to the pic platform, is it a big firmware task to get the 18F97J60 to talk over ethernet? Is there sample code available? Also, would this chip work with the picdem2?
