Web enabling a PIC....
PostPosted: Tue Jan 02, 2007 11:06 am     Reply with quote

Hi All,

I've been programming PIC's for a couple of years using CCS C, and now I'd like to try my hand at "web-enabling" one of my projects. To start, I have a PIC based weather station that I would like to put on the web. The weather station outputs it's data via RS-232, and that is how I'd connect it to the web server. The web server would then serve pages with dynamic content (weather data). I was thinking that as a entry into this world I'd start with the PIC-Web board from Sparkfun. I know about the SitePlayer, and the XPort, but I've read that these devices have some rather severe programming limitations. Any comments about how to best go about this project??

Thanks,

Tony
