hi im trying to use the project wizard to configure a pic 12c672 for internal oscillator but the option is greyed out can anyone advise me on how to enable the internal oscillator. i also wnat to configure one pin as an input and another as an output can i do this using the set_tris_a command .

Look near the start of the 12C672.h file for a list of fuse settings.
The file is in this folder: c:\Program Files\Picc\Devices

What fuse setting(s) looks like it's for the Internal RC oscillator ?
