Does somebody had been working in cars engine check readers or have info regarding
this matter to spot me?
I own a Ford with a Duratec V6 24 Valve DOHC engine and I would like to do my own checker.
Ford dealers bills are not cheap and professional code testers are quite expensive for a
regular car user.

I would appreciate any help, many thanks in advance.

PD: I know is the same engine used in:

- Ford Taurus
- Lincoln Zephyr LS V6 Sport MTX
- SVT Contour

Hi Humberto,
Lots of stuff out there if you Google on OBDII. At the below link is the BR-3 I built and currently use. It has worked on all 1996 and later foreign and domestic vehicles I have tried so far.... If yours is a late model and CAN equipped you will have to buy the pre-built unit but it is well worth it, mine has been great!!
