TCPServer.exe and CCS version of Microchip Stack
PostPosted: Tue Sep 12, 2006 3:02 pm     Reply with quote

Anyone have problems running TCPServer.exe? When I run it on my PC it hogs my processor. Other than that no problem.

On another note I gave up on CCS version of Microchips TCP stack. Had it running about two months ago and then it stopped working. Could not get it back up (my computer was revamped). Switched over to using C18 compiler and not looking back. It seems a lot more stable. I'm not losing connections like I was. Also I can PING it all day (after a short time I stop getting response from PING with CCS). Anyone have any luck with CCS TCP?

I have an updated version for you that may not have the 'drop out issues'.

Personally, I have used the stack in a few projects over the last few years and have not seen this phenomenon.

V4 of the CCS compiler has added the 'rom' qualifier, so hopefuly soon you can use V4 to compile the Microchip TCP/IP stack with little porting.
