Programming a graphics module
PostPosted: Tue Aug 08, 2006 2:08 pm     Reply with quote

I have been asked to see what it would take to use a graphics display to replace a character display. The graphic display is 102 x 48 pixels and the driver chip is an Elan 65565. I have not been able to find any tutorials on how to approach this. I have not been able to find any information on this forum that helps.
Can someone point me in a direction to see what is involved? My skill level is not quite up to the level that may be required to develop this from scratch. Sample programs? Is this even feasable with a PIC processor? Is it worth the trouble considering the character displays are handled quite easily.
Thanks,
