Question about USB Driver for CCS Example
PostPosted: Fri Aug 04, 2006 8:02 pm     Reply with quote

I have been working with the PIC18F4550, the CCS ex_usb_serial example and the Microchip Picdem FS board. Everything works fine until I unplug the Picdem and use a different USB device. When I plug the Picdem back into the computer, Windows 2000 always installs the wrong driver and the board doesn't work. When I manually reinstall the correct inf file the Picdem works again. It seems that Windows is just plain stupid.

My questions is: How can I make sure the correct driver is installed? Thanks in advance for any help.
