help about can bus test files
PostPosted: Wed Jun 21, 2006 5:31 am     Reply with quote

I'm a novice programmer, I ask if there is somebody who can post two simple can bus files to test my hardware(two 18f4580 pics with mcp2551). I need a transmitter(master) and a receiver (slave) file to see that my connections are ok and so I can begin trying my programs

Thank You
PCM programmer

Newguy has some code to do that, about halfway down in this thread:
http://www.ccsinfo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23825

Also, note that the problem with the CAN bus transceivers that we
spend most of our time talking about on that thread, doesn't apply
to you, because the MCP2551 has an internal pull-up on the Tx pin.
You won't have a problem with it.
