3.3V PIC18LF4550 and USB
PostPosted: Wed Mar 29, 2006 11:09 am     Reply with quote

I'm thinking of using a PIC18LF4550 at 3.3V for a handheld application. Some of the other circuitry runs at 3.3V only and it just makes it easier to have a single power supply on board.

I want to support USB 2.0, which the datasheet tells me I should be able to do, as long as the rest of the microprocessor runs at < 20MHz or so.

Before I go and order all the parts, I thought I'd check if anyone else has done this and if it worked well for you, or if you'd recommend sticking with a 5V supply for the PIC.

Sorry for the rather open-ended question. Thanks in advance.

Rod
