CCS Compiler Bug?

Just an FYI for those that run into this, if you #define PIC18F2455 before you include any headers, the compiler will crash in module PCH.dll. Might help to have the parser check for this or at least have some kind of warning rather than just crashing PCH!

This will happen with any of the compilers.

I was able to crash the PCM compiler by doing what you said. I had
to press Ctrl-Alt-Del and shut down the task, to get it out of an endless
loop.

But there is no need to do this. Just include the .H file at the start
of your source program. The .H file contains a #device statement
which defines the PIC type.
