OT: FRAM stupid question
PostPosted: Thu Mar 02, 2006 12:19 am     Reply with quote

FRAMs utilize ferroelectric materials to store data. Does this mean that FRAMs are thus susceptible to external magnetic fields?

I've looked in quite a few places, but I can't find any information to the contrary. Maybe I haven't looked hard enough. Confused

Anyone know?

Read this technology paper from the Ramtron website. On page 1,
see the 2nd paragraph on the right side.

Thanks PCM. That's reassuring. I'm doing a redesign of a product of mine and the fast write time and durability (read/write cycles) of FRAM has me very interested in swapping out my ordinary EEPROMs.
