Rice17a Emulator on ebay will it work with ccs compiler |

hi , found a Rice 17a Pic emulator on ebay , does anyone know if it works with CCS Compiler ok , been looking for one of these for ages

You can use any emulator at all with the compiler. How 'integrated' you can make it will depend on whether the emulator can link to another enviroment. If it supports connecting to MPLAB (the commonest support offered), then you can integrate CCS to MPLAB, and compile directly in this, and run the emulator, with source code level debugging. If it only offers it's own enviroment, then you will have to run with the packages 'seperate', and compile in CCS, then transfer the .cod file etc., to the emulator's enviroment.
In the past I have done both.
