I'm looking for a cheap solution how to communicate with pc/mobile phone to my own mcu solution via bluetooth. So how do I add bluetooth on pic16f877 powered device? Is there any one chip bluetooth solution available? Device is more or less relay shifter and I would like to drive it wireless... any advices or links... |

http://www.free2move.se ; used their module in a product connected to a PIC16F873 with no problems. Works very well.

Thanks, that looks good but I'm looking for something I can add to my pcb with pic. And also I would like to learn more or less how to use bluetooth on hardware level. this might be mission impossible but need to know how far I'm able to go... |

You really have to lay the module out on PCB using a PCB aerial. The module is no bigger than 1/2 a 40pin DIL PIC and is surface mount. I looked into doing it myself but unless you are producing hundreds of your product the cost in registration, let alone R&D to do a bluetooth stack, rules it out IMHO.
The module I used was a F2M03

yeah you are right. this free2move seems a good idea. I first look about those ones on rs232 connection which are on front page.
any ideas how expensive this F2MO3C2 module is? lets say at 100pcs volume. |

Expensive...
At least $80.
You are paying for the fact that they have done the work allready. There are several other similar modules around, and most are about the same price.

Will: You probably have some example code how to receive data from F2M03 module. Is there any change you could show me some to help my start with PIC16F628 and F2M03C2-module?
Also interesting about hardware details.
My email is on user data. Thanks! _________________ Electricity is blue and it hurts... |
