"PCWH IDE Newbie and printf" and "MPLAB IDE&q |

For some reason, after I booted up my computer this morning, all my working CCS links to MPLAB IDE 7.20.0.0 got "lost". When I opened up a currently working project, an MPLAB popup flagged me that there are no references to the 'tool' (i.e. PCH).
So I quickly called up CCS to upgrade my current PCM/PCH subscriptions to PCWH. By the way, it only costs $250, as compared to full price.
Okay so now that i'm waiting for the new .crg files, I have a question about printf.
Now for the newbie question:
Is it true that if I use PCWH and an ICDU-40 for debugging, then I can re-direct "printf" to a little window in the CCS IDE, thus eliminating the need for a MAX232 on the board and a Hypterminal window |
