OT: Does anyone use Proteus VSM to simulate their designs?

...and how does CCS integrate with it? Is Proteus easy to use and do you find it beneficial as opposed to breadboarding or using a dev kit?

I've never used Proteus.

The only time i've used a simulator is MPSIM (in MPLAB), and that is just to simulate a time delay or a computation.

Other than that, I use the PICDEM-2 to get a 'proof of concept' feel of what i'm trying to do. I feel it's just as easy and more realistic to use a development board than a 3rd party simulator. For one thing, the bugs in a simulator may become a headache. On a similiar topic, i've had a colleague use a simulator, such as Electronics Workbench, for his circuit. When the prototype boards came in, the simulator failed to account for switch bounce. Luckily, there was a drop-in chip that was able to replace the one originally simulated. Too many unforeseen circumstances if you rely on a simulator alone.
