18F2550 supported or not...
PostPosted: Mon Aug 08, 2005 6:42 pm     Reply with quote

I want to work on USB and have already ordered 18F2550. After that
I check in the devices folder but I couldn't find that processor header
file.
I got PCM and PCH CCS compiler. Does this chip is supported by CCS
or not?
What should I do?

Thanks in advanced....

What version of the compiler do you have? I have the latest version, 3.230, and 18F2550.h is in the devices folder, so I assume it is supported.

Any body know, whether is it available in 3.212.24.16 version or not?
Do I require to buy update ?
How much is the update is for?

You should really take the time to do some reading. From the manual

ccsc +Q will show all the valid devices

If it is not in your version and you don't have the device editor, then of course you will have to buy an update if you do not already have update rights.

The cost? Look on CCS's site. There is a reason that it's published there!

The earliest version, that I still have installed, is v3.214. This version supports the 18F2550. Looking at the revision history, it looks like v3.213 had updates for newest chips. It's possible that this is the first version to support this PIC.
