Hello -
I'm familiar with Assembly,Basic, and C. I've been using MPLAB and the ICD2/Picdem 2 board for small projects. I was recently advised by our software folks to concentrate my efforts on using the CCS compiler and brushing back up on C. Writting in assembly for the pic can be a bit much at times, set the wrong bit and your toast for three days!
Can anyone recommend a solid pic-micro/C book I could purchase to speed up the learning process?
Much appreciated - Albert |

The most CCS-specific book that introduces you to C and the PIC I think would be
"Embedded C Programming and the Microchip PIC"
It is a helpful intro for someone trying to get their feet wet. For an intermediate user, it is at best, good for reference and to probably see a few techniques. Like I said, it uses CCS in its examples. |
