f2f decoder |

Does anyone worked with an f2f decoder? I have some sort of problems in decoding the TTL signal comming from an f2f decoder.
Also, is there any source code to do the f2f decoding inside a pic, without using another chip?
Thanks. |

You need to post some more details, to get any sort of reasonable answer. The data stream from the chips is not always the same (some strip the start bits, while others don't, and the pulse widths of the stream also vary). There have been a number of posts about bar code readers in the past, which use some of the same technology.
Realistically, there are too many other support bits that would be needed to do it in a PIC, to make this worthwhile. The noise filter, removal of the varying offset from background signals, really need external parts, and you would end up with more pieces than a receiver chip involves.
I did some work on one a few years ago (we used discrete op-amps, ad built the decoder in an ASIC), but this is an area where support has moved on, and some of the chips now do as much as the circuitry we had involving a handful of IC's...
