Mapping port pins
PostPosted: Fri Oct 21, 2005 1:29 am     Reply with quote

Hi to all.
How can I map different port pins to a variable.
For example 4 pins from port b , say 0-3 and 4 from port c , say 5-8.
Port c can be the higher order bits. Setting the variable to 0xCA would set the port c to "1100xxxx" and port b to "xxxx1010"
Hope I'm not being to obscure.
I am sure something like a Structure could be used , but I have'nt had much luck.
Cheers
Rob
