writing to eeprom 16 bit number

I want to write eeproom 16 bit number but I dont know how..

Write two 8bit numbers, one for each 'half' of the 16bit value. Look at the 'Make8' function, and the 'Make16' function to put it back together.

I have 16 number.. how to multply 2 bytes. can I use make8 ?
