Where can I find register & bit name #defines?
PostPosted: Tue May 03, 2005 5:07 pm     Reply with quote

I would like to #include a list of #defines for a given PIC which contains the #byte and #bit definitions for all the PIC registers and bits, using the Microchip data sheet names. Am I dreaming? It looks like the MPLAB IDE has this information in .dev files, but they are not suitable for #including. They look like they need some scanning program to create usable results from them.

Does such a sensible thing exist?

Yes! This is the type of thing I'm after. This is apparently just an ad hoc thing though, if some poor programmer happens to wade through it and post it like this. It seems like CCS or Microchip should have this kind of thing for all devices though. Is that available?

I don't think it is. If it came with the compiler, it would be in the
compiler's folder, but it's not.
