Stepper motor control
PostPosted: Wed Apr 14, 2004 12:11 pm     Reply with quote

Greetings!

I am controlling a servo motor, using a servo driver, and using Step and Direction pulses. I am using Timer0, in 16 bit mode, to pulse the Step output. I am modifying the Timer0 counter values (TMR0H and TMR0L) to vary the frequency of the pulses. I am wondering if anybody here knows of some kind of code to ramp the frequency up and down to start and stop the motor.

I'm using a PIC18F452.

Thank you,
Ronald

This article shows how to generate stepper motor speed ramps.
There is a listing for PIC18F252:
